UKTI is one of the UK’s largest trade and investment companies supporting UK based businesses in achieving success in international markets across the globe. For a second consecutive year, they will partnering up with AIM (Association of Independent Music) and BPI (British Phonographic Industry) to hold a Music Mission conference in India.
We’re looking forward to attending the event and creating further opportunities for Music Gateway and our members. Jon Skinner, CEO/Founder of Music Gateway has this to say about the event;
''As a member of the BPI, MPA and AIM, we have been on several UKTI backed trade missions this year alone. This will be our first venture into India and rightly so, as its in line with our members ambitions to be connected across the globe. The emerging Asian market is an incredible opportunity for us to help bridge the gap between East and West business relations. I simply can't wait to meet the key players in India and securing more work, placements and syncs for our members. Roll on 1st December!"
UKTI’s India Music Mission will take place from the 2nd to the 8th December located in Mumbai and Pune, India. With many events to look forward to including conference sessions, showcases, networking events, masterclasses and a tour of music venues and sites around Mumbai. There is definitely plenty to keep you on your toes whilst there.
Although this is our first venture into India, this is not our first rodeo in Asia. We have a strong relationship with a number of Management companies over in Korea who use the site religiously and have had their fair share of song placement success. Moving forwards, it will be great to see this trend continue over to India as our network expands. UKTI is well known for launching campaigns such as ‘GREAT’ to get the world thinking and feeling differently about Britain and inspiring others to do business with an innovative nation. India Music Mission is a perfect example of opening doors to new and exciting opportunities for not only for the residents there but for us and our community. With increased recognition of MusicGateway and our members we are able to secure further international opportunities in one of the world’s largest economies.
Artists, managers, promoters, record labels, digital distribution companies, festival bookers/directors/organisers and promoters, covering all genres of music are being invited to participate and the organisers will be tailoring certain aspects of the programme to suit all delegates.
